the 1983 Husqvarna motorcycle line was the end of an era, 1983 was the last year for metal gas tanks, double rear shocks and air cooling, in 1984 husky followed most manufactures with a mono shock frame plastic tank and liquid cooling, this 1983 CR 250 has been totally restored cosmetically and mechanically, runs and shifts great, it still sports the ohlins gas rear shocks, as well as its white finish with blue seat and blue and yellow graphics, the 1983 CR 250 though antiquated had an excellent power band, its long travel suspension and 30 degree fork rake made it very stable through the toughest whoop sections or jumps, but left it very vulnerable to the Japanese competition in the turns with there 28 degree fork angles, the dependability is where it shined, I know I rode one in 1983 through out the So Cal motocross circuit, Carlsbad, Indian dunes, De Anza cycle park,
